Professional Experience

CME3D, Orlando FL 11/97-Present. | Independent 3D Artist/ Training Consultant
As an independent 3D artist I specialize in 3D graphics and animation production for national clients. Vertical markets include real-time 3D and broadcast CGI production, simulation, and location-based entertainment. Client history includes CNN.com, Walt Disney Attractions, CanonUSA, EPL/Sega, Reallusion, Animill/ABC, CherokeeTV, and Turbosquid. Training clients include: Boeing, United Space Alliance (NASA), Lockheed Martin, Disney Imagineering, Westinghouse, and much more.

Achievements include:

  • Creative development of projects such as video game mods, dome theater ride films, branded licensed content. Primary roles: Lead 3D artist, Creative Director, Project manager
  • Successful development of completed faction MOD for EA’s “Command and Conquer: Generals,” cinematic and cut scene development, large-scale multi-platform asset development. Primary role: Asst Producer, Art Production Manager.
  • Developed and managed game development team of 5-12 people. Determined talent needs, team management, budget, schedule, client interaction, and contract negotiations.

Full Sail, Inc., Winter Park, FL 01/06-Present. | Associate Course Director
I instruct and articulate industry standard modeling, lighting, and UV Mapping production techniques for an accelerated Secondary Education program. On a day-to-day basis I disseminate very complex subject matter in a very digestible manner. Program-wide contributions include identifying and defining the role of 3D graphics within the digital media program. 
Achievements include:

  • Identifying deficiencies in current curriculum and elevating it to current industry standards
  • Consensus building and coordinating new initiatives with existing staff members
  • Managing classes of 25-30 emerging artists (per month). Guiding their work creatively and technically to meet prescribed design objectives.

FIEA, Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy, is a postgraduate degree program specializing in video game development partnered with video game industry giant Electronic Arts. FIEA is a funded UCF start-up with $4.2 million + $1 million recurring annually.

Management achievements include:

Senior 3D Artist at UCF’s Institute for Simulation and Training (IST) Media Convergence Lab. Creative leadership role in the research of entertainment technology called “Mixed Reality” with industry partners Canon and Nickelodeon.

Accomplishments included:

  • 3D Modeling/Texturing 3D environments for use with spatial tracking systems
  • Work breakdowns/pipeline creation for an evolving software environment.

EPL Productions, Orlando FL 1/97-12/97. | Lead 3D Artist
Responsibilities included modeling, texturing and animating scenes for use in real-time 3D entertainment applications for Lockheed Martin/Real3D and Sega. Also providing sketches and storyboards as well as written concepts and creative treatments. Shipping title: “Behind enemy Lines”
